Who are we?
Liphook Business Initiative is run by a panel of local businesses within the Liphook parish.
Many of Liphook’s business community are now members and we have new members joining every month.
The main purpose of the business initiative is to promote the businesses of Liphook to the Liphook community.
The Liphook Business Initiative was setup by local shops and companies to encourage and build a positive business community within the Liphook parish.
The initiative will be promoting various events within the group for networking and to socialise together, as well as reaching out to the local community by organising trade fairs and taking part in other parish events.
LIPHOOK BUSINESS INITIATIVE – MISSION STATEMENT
“To promote Liphook Businesses in the community, to provide a focus for members to seek solutions and achieve common interests, and to act as a lobby group”
1. What do we mean by Liphook Businesses?
All businesses within Bramshott & Liphook Parish, and other businesses permitted by the existing membership
2. Who are members?
Members are those who have completed an application form and been approved for association by a majority of existing members
3. What is the organisational structure of LBI?
This is to be decided
4. How will LBI promote this objective and to whom?
Promotion of this objective will be through a website, networked awareness and agreed specified advertising
5. What are the common key interests?
• Enhance awareness of LBI
• To promote benefits of membership
• Enhance awareness of members businesses to the community
• Seek out opportunities of collective service cost minimisation i.e. buying advertising space
• Seeking to minimise the incidents of empty shops
• Seeking to reach future employees
• To promote benefits of Liphook as a place to locate
• To publish members businesses and location
6. How will common lobby group issues be identified?
Through proposal by at least 3 members to the LBI to gain support, possible funding or veto
We have a voice together
As a group we also have a strong combined voice to lobby with.
There are perhaps many things that a local business may wish to see improved, changed or in some cases, left un-changed.
By bringing their concerns to the attention of the group, a Liphook business can get support from others and collectively tackle the issue with a stronger voice.
